The DYB2200 was designed to be a truly customizable large home annunciator. The sounds can be changed in minutes. The DYB2200 can play seasonal music, school fight songs, sound bites from movies, commercials or cartoons. It has four inputs and each input has a corresponding output. The amplifier section can drive four speakers or for those with whole home audio there is a line level output.

SOUND :
The DYB2200 comes equipped with a 7 Watt amplifier that can drive up to a 2 ohm load and includes a volume control. We also equipped the unit with a line level output to facilitate running the sound through an amplifier.

INPUTS :
The DYB2200 has four inputs. Each input will play its own list of sounds. When an input is received the unit will play the next sound in the list for that input. It will continue to play to the end w/o interruption. If another input is received while the unit is playing it will be ignored. When the sound is done playing the DYB2200 will service the next input. The length of an input will not affect the servicing of the other inputs. The only time inputs are ignored is while the unit is playing. If more than one input is received simultaneously then a sound will be played for each input in succession.

Each input can respond to a Normally Open (NO) or Normally Closed (NC) contact input. This feature is programmed by the owner using our programming software and each input can be independently set to NO or NC. When the input is received the doorbell will play once and will not play again until the input has been reset. Each input is protected and will not be damaged if an input lasts for long periods of time. An input is considered reset when the opposite action of the input is received. A door push button is typically a NO contact. If the input is set for NO then when the button is pressed the contact is closed and the input is received and the DYB2200 will play. The doorbell will not play again until the the door button has been released and then pressed again. This allows the DYB2200 to be activated by magnetic locks, magnetic reed relay door switches and photo electric sensors.

OUTPUTs :
There are four digital outputs for the control of external devices. The outputs are rated 48Vdc at 2 Amp. The outputs acts like a switch to ground. Each Output is activated by an Input. (Output 1 by Input 1, Output 2 by Input 2 etc.) The output occurs directly after an input is received and just before the sound file plays. The output can be set to last from 1/4 of a second up to the length of the sound clip being played. The length of time the output will stay activated is programmed using our programming software. The output can be used to activate other devices such as a video system or low voltage lights or as an input into an alarm system.

EXTERIOR :
The DYB2200 is housed in a plastic box that measures 1 1/2 inches tall by 6 inches wide by 4 1/2 inches deep. All wires attach to screw terminal headers that plug/unplug from the unit.

The DYB2200 comes with an installation CD, USB2.0 cable and a power supply. The CDROM Contains :

• Manual
• DYB2xxx software for collecting MP3 and WAV files and loading sound bites into the doorbell
• Audacity software for editing music to length, recording sounds from a computer's sound card and converting the audio to MP3 format.
• CDex software for ripping music from a CD
